The Juniper EX2300-48MP is a compact access switch from the EX2300 Series, built for space and power-constrained environments including micro branches, retail locations, and workgroup deployments needing multigigabit Wi-Fi access point support. It provides 32 Gigabit Ethernet ports and 16 multigigabit ports supporting up to 2.5 Gbps, with PoE+ available on all 48 access ports, alongside 6 SFP/SFP+ uplink ports for fiber connectivity with optics sold separately. Unlike the smaller EX2300-24MP sibling, which offers 4 SFP+ uplinks and a 380W PoE budget, this model steps up to 6 uplinks and 740W of total PoE power. The switch delivers 264 Gbps of packet-switching capacity and 196 Mpps of wire-speed Layer 2/Layer 3 throughput, backed by a 1.25GHz ARM CPU, 2GB of DRAM, and 8GB of flash storage. It supports up to 16,000 MAC addresses and 4,093 VLANs, with Layer 3 routing including RIP, OSPF, static routing, and Bidirectional Forwarding Detection for both IPv4 and IPv6 networks. Up to 4 EX2300 switches can be joined into a single Virtual Chassis, and the switch supports Junos Fusion Enterprise for satellite device deployments, managed through Junos Space Network Director or the J-Web GUI.
