Cisco CW9172I-RTG Wi-Fi 6E Tri-Band 2x2:2 9Gbps Ready-to-Go Meraki-Managed Access Point

The Cisco CW9172I-RTG is a wireless access point from the Wireless 9172 Series, provisioned for Meraki cloud management by default as a Ready to Go global SKU. It runs on the same unified hardware design as its CW9172I-CFG counterpart, which is instead provisioned for Catalyst 9800 management by default; both can switch management modes at any time without hardware changes. It supports a software defined flex radio operating in either tri-band mode across 2.4, 5, and 6 GHz at 2x2:2 for up to 9 Gbps of aggregate throughput, or a dual-band mode with 4x4 performance on 5 GHz when 6 GHz is disabled, which reduces aggregate throughput to 6.0 Gbps despite the larger 5 GHz radio. A dedicated scan and auxiliary radio provides WIDS/WIPS threat detection, alongside a Bluetooth Low Energy radio for IoT scanning and beaconing. A single 100/1000/2.5GBASE-T Ethernet port connects to the network, with a separate USB 2.0 port drawing 4.5W when powered via 802.3bt Class 5. Full tri-radio operation on 802.3at PoE+ requires 25.5W, dropping to 12.95W on 802.3af with a single 2.4GHz radio active at reduced link speed. As a global use access point, it works anywhere without needing a region specific SKU.
