The Cisco CBS110-8PP-D is a Business 110 Series unmanaged switch with eight Gigabit Ethernet RJ-45 ports, four of which supply PoE. Unlike the CBS110-8T-D, which has the same eight ports without Power over Ethernet, this model powers four devices from a 32W budget. PoE follows the IEEE 802.3af standard, which suits IP phones, cameras and access points at a small desk or branch office. Switching capacity is 16Gbps at wire speed and nonblocking, with a forwarding rate of 11.9Mpps. A 2Mbit packet buffer is shared dynamically across all ports, and the MAC table holds 8,000 addresses. Jumbo frames up to 9,216 bytes support large data transfers across the network. 802.1p priority-based QoS uses four hardware queues with priority queuing and weighted round-robin scheduling. Automatic MDI/MDI-X, loop detection and IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet on every copper port simplify cabling and lower power use. The fanless desktop chassis runs silently from an external universal power supply rated for 100 to 240V.
