Supports two redundant Route Processors, an integrated switch fabric, dual AC or DC power supplies, and 3 redundant fans. Runs the same Cisco IOS XR image as other ASR 9000 platforms for standardized operations across business PE, metro aggregation, cloud edge, internet peering, DCI, and BNG use cases.

The Cisco ASR-9902 is a compact 2RU high-performance router in the ASR 9000 Series, delivering up to 800 Gbps of nonblocking, full-duplex capacity in a power-optimized architecture. The fixed board includes 2x integrated QSFP-DD 100GE ports, 6x integrated QSFP28 100GE ports, 16x integrated SFP28 25GE/10GE dual-rate ports, and 24x integrated SFP+ LAN/WAN (OTN) ports, all MACsec-capable, providing the flexibility to mix and match interface types across 100/40 Gigabit Ethernet, 25 Gigabit Ethernet, and 10 Gigabit Ethernet on a single chassis. The router supports two redundant Route Processors, an integrated switch fabric, dual AC or DC power supply modules, and three fans in a redundant configuration for continuous, highly available operation. Running the same Cisco IOS XR software image as other ASR 9000 Series platforms, the ASR-9902 allows operators to standardize network-wide. This multipurpose platform supports business PE, metro aggregation, cloud edge, internet peering, Data Center Interconnect, and Broadband Network Gateway deployments.
