The Cisco A9K-MOD200-SE Line Card provides customers with a highly flexible solution. It supports multiple combinations of Ethernet ports, and gives network operators the flexibility to choose the ideal port density, speed, and optic based on their network requirements.

The Cisco A9K-MOD200-SE 200G Service Edge modular line card allows for the flexible expansion of Cisco ASR 9000 series routers by providing two slots for ASR 9000 MPA cards. The A9K-MOD200 expansion card provides support for MPA totaling up to 200G of bandwidth in a variety of interface combinations.

For example, the A9K-MOD200 can support two 1-port 100G Ethernet adapters, a single 2-port 100 Gigabit Ethernet MPA, or a single 20-port 10G Ethernet modular port adapter.

The Service Edge optimized variant of the A9K-MOD200 (part number A9K-MOD200-SE) is optimized for customer deployments requiring advanced QoS capabilities. For applications requiring more basic QoS, the A9K-MOD200-TR transport optimized linecard is also available. Both of these card types also come in 400G editions, which can help increase bandwidth and port density when the requirements of your install call for more than 200G per slot.
