The Arista DCS-7050TX-64-F is a managed data center switch from the 7050TX Series, part of the Arista 7050X family of compact, energy efficient switches. This unit uses front-to-rear airflow, making it the direct counterpart to the DCS-7050TX-64-R, which is otherwise identical hardware built for rear-to-front cooling instead. It provides 48 ports of 100M/1G/10GBASE-T copper connectivity alongside 4 ports of 40 Gigabit Ethernet QSFP+ uplinks, with throughput reaching 1.28 Tbps and a forwarding rate of 960 Mpps. Cut-through latency from RJ45 ports to uplinks stays under 3 microseconds, backed by a 12MB dynamically allocated packet buffer pool. The switch runs on a quad core x86 CPU with 4GB of system memory and 4GB of flash storage, with an optional 120GB SSD available for local logging and data capture. Wire speed Layer 2 and Layer 3 features include OSPF, BGP, IS-IS, VXLAN routing and bridging, and 64-way ECMP for scalable leaf and spine network designs. Dual hot-swappable, 1+1 redundant power supplies and 4 hot-swappable, N+1 redundant fans support continuous operation.
