Arista DCS-7050QX-32-F 7050X Series 32-Port 40GbE QSFP+ 2.56Tbps Cut-Through Data Center Switch

The Arista DCS-7050QX-32-F is a 7050X Series data center switch built for high-density 40 Gigabit Ethernet spine and leaf deployments. It delivers 32 QSFP+ 40GbE ports, a 2.56 Tbps switching fabric, and forwarding rates up to 1.44 billion packets per second. Unlike the DCS-7050QX-32S-F sibling, which adds 4 shared SFP+ ports for 10GbE connectivity, this model keeps all 32 ports dedicated to 40GbE uplinks. It supports Layer 3 routing protocols including OSPF, OSPFv3, BGP, MP-BGP, IS-IS, and RIPv2 for flexible data center network designs. Dynamic Buffer Allocation delivers cut-through latency from 550 to 650 nanoseconds while allocating up to 6.7MB of packet memory per port for lossless forwarding. A resilient control plane pairs a high-performance x86 CPU with up to 8GB of DRAM, and an optional solid-state drive stores logs and packet captures. The switch runs Arista EOS and operates reliably from 0°C to 40°C across 5 to 95 percent relative humidity for standard data center environments. Dual redundant power supplies keep the switch running through a single power failure, with front-to-rear airflow matching hot-aisle and cold-aisle rack layouts. Connectivity is rounded out by a dedicated 10/100/1000 management port and a USB port for local configuration and diagnostics.
