The HPE JG422A is a Half Height Multifunction Interface Module (HMIM) for the HPE FlexNetwork MSR4000 Series router, providing eight hot-swappable 10/100/1000Base-T RJ-45 Gigabit Ethernet copper ports to expand wired LAN connectivity at enterprise branch and aggregation sites. The HMIM form factor allows the module to be hot-swapped into the MSR4000 chassis without disrupting active network operations. The module integrates with the host router for Layer 2 and Layer 3 functions including link aggregation, QoS, VLAN segmentation, encryption and decryption, and packet analysis and filtering. Eight GbE copper ports deliver 1 Gbps per port for high-density wired connections across the branch. Standard compliance includes IEEE 802.3, 802.3ab, and 802.3u.
