The Cisco C9300-48UN-E is a stackable managed switch from the Catalyst 9300 Series, built for high-density Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E deployments needing multigigabit UPOE across every port. The "E" designates Network Essentials licensing, the same hardware as the C9300-48UN-A but without Network Advantage features like BGP, EIGRP, IS-IS, and VRF, suiting simpler Layer 2 and basic routed access deployments. It provides 48 ports supporting 100Mbps through 5Gbps with full Cisco UPOE, delivering up to 60W per port for demanding devices like access points and VDI terminals. With the available Platinum-rated PWR-C1-1100WAC-P power supply, the switch delivers a 645W PoE budget. Switching capacity reaches 640 Gbps standalone, with a forwarding rate of approximately 476 Mpps, backed by a 32,000 entry MAC address table. A modular uplink slot, sold without a module by default, supports optional 1G, 10G, 25G, or 40G network modules for flexible upstream connectivity as bandwidth needs grow.
