The Arista DCS-7050SX3-48YC8-F is a 1RU 7050X3 Series fixed leaf switch with 48x 1/10/25G SFP28 downlinks and 8x 40/100G QSFP28 uplinks (breakout to 4x25G or 4x10G; up to 64 logical ports), delivering 4.0 Tbps switching capacity, up to 1 Bpps forwarding, and 800 ns cut-through latency on Broadcom Trident 3. Front-to-back airflow (F = port-side intake). 32 MB shared packet buffer; 288K MAC entries; 128-way ECMP. VXLAN, EVPN, BGP, and OSPF. Note: no MACsec on 7050SX3 models. With 4 Tbps of non-oversubscribed throughput, it provides consistent low-latency forwarding for east-west traffic, virtualized workloads, and cloud fabrics. Built on Arista EOS, it supports CloudVision-based automation and streaming telemetry for rapid provisioning and operational visibility. EOS features include VXLAN routing for segmentation, Dynamic Load Balancing for path optimization, and NAT capabilities for modern IP designs. Hot-swappable power supplies and N+1 fan redundancy deliver resilient operation in enterprise, colocation, and service-provider environments.
