Cisco A9K-4X100GE-TR ASR 9000 4-Port 100GE CPAK Packet Transport Optimized Line Card

The Cisco A9K-4X100GE-TR is a 4-port 100 Gigabit Ethernet line card for the Cisco ASR 9000 Series Aggregation Services Routers, optimized for packet transport deployments requiring basic quality of service with OTN support. Based on Cisco CPAK technology, the line card features flexible interfaces that support 100 Gigabit Ethernet, 40 Gigabit Ethernet, and 10 Gigabit Ethernet modes, allowing customers to mix and match interface types on the same card. Each 100GE port can be broken out into 10 x 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports using breakout cables or patch panels for large-scale aggregation and Data Center Interconnect scenarios. Compatible with the ASR 9006, ASR 9010, ASR 9904, ASR 9906, ASR 9910, ASR 9912, and ASR 9922 routers, the line card runs Cisco IOS XR and supports full line-rate, nonblocking forwarding with simultaneous Layer 2 and Layer 3 services including IP, MPLS, Segment Routing, EVPN, and L3VPN. Carrier-class OAM capabilities include NetFlow, IEEE 802.1ag, IEEE 802.3ah, ITU Y.1731, and VCCV. The line card supports online insertion and removal without system impact and a green design that places unused slices in power-saving mode to reduce power consumption. The -TR variant can be mixed with Service Edge Optimized (-SE) line cards within the same chassis. Ideal for service provider core, WAN backbone, and transport network deployments requiring high-density 100GE connectivity with flexible interface options and basic QoS.
