The 100-Gigabit Ethernet ports use CFP2 pluggable transceivers such as the CFP2-100G-ER4-D. It installs in MX240, MX480 and MX960 routers with the MX-SCBE or MX-SCBE2 switch control board, and in MX2010 and MX2020 routers with the Switch Fabric Board. Junos OS Release 13.3R3 or later is required, and the card powers on only when an enhanced network-services mode is configured. Optical diagnostics with related alarms and intelligent oversubscription services are supported.
