The J9150D is the multimode 10G option with a 300 m reach, while the JL749A is the TAA-compliant build of this long-reach module. Reach extends to 10 km, or 6.21 miles, over standard 9\/125 micron single-mode fiber, which suits links between buildings on a campus. Optical output from the transmitter measures -8.2 to +0.5 dBm, while receive levels from -14.4 to +0.5 dBm are accepted. Signaling runs at 10.31 Gbps on a single lane with NRZ encoding, so one SFP+ cage carries the full 10G rate. A duplex LC connector with PC or UPC polish attaches the fiber pair. Digital optical monitoring is supported, which lets compatible switches report the optical performance of the link. The module fits SFP+ ports on Aruba switch families that range from the 2930F and 3810M to the 6300, 8325 and 8360.
