The router has RJ-45 console and AUX ports and a CompactFlash slot that takes cards up to 128 MB. It comes with 128 MB of DRAM and 32 MB of flash by default, and a SODIMM slot extends DRAM to 384 MB. Embedded hardware-based encryption supports IPSec VPN with AES, 3DES and DES. Series features include firewall protection, inline intrusion prevention, Network Admission Control and URL filtering, and Cisco Router and Security Device Manager comes with the router.
