The card works in the ASR 9904, 9006, 9010, 9906 and 9910 chassis, and it can be paired with a second RSP5 of the same kind for 1+1 redundancy. Each RSP5 controls two of the up to seven switch fabrics, with the other five on dedicated fabric cards.
